This place was a pleasant surprise. Located next door to the lumberjack show and steps from the cruise terminal, I expected high prices and low quality tourist food. The chowder was delicious and my wife and I shared an order of fish and chips that was really wonderful. We loved the house tartar sauce and the cole slaw. A longish line moved quickly. Friendly service abounds. Nice view of the marina out the back windows.

Really good spot. The fish and chips was great as was the chowder. Blackened salmon was awesome too. I have to also say thank you for the service. The two chaps there were first class. Had a lovely time after a good long hike.

Very busy but absolutely worth it! My party of 4 waited in line for a bit then struggled to find a table. Thankfully, a nice couple saw us looking and had just finished their meal so they hopped up. Surprisingly, we didn't wait long for our food to arrive. The salmon chowder is 10/10. So creamy and delicious! I could have gotten full off of several rounds of that. :) I also had some crab legs. I'm new to eating crab so can't say much but I enjoyed them. My husband order the halibut fish and chips. Their coleslaw is plain veggies so it was disappointing and left untouched but the fish was perfectly fried! We were very pleased with the quality. It wasn't greasy and had such a great flavor. We all left full and happy. Prepare to spend a lot of money as it isn't cheap and be patient. They are a busy spot!

If you’re looking for some great food and place to hang out after departing the cruise ship this is a great stop. The three piece halibut plate, halibut and salmon tacos and salmon chowder are all delicious. When we were here for dinner they had a band playing. Band was great and entertaining. The prices are reasonable for the area and the fact it’s a tourist hot spot. You can sit outside and enjoy the cool air and people watch.

I was determined to have some Salmon and Chips and some Dungeness Crab . Alaska Fish House had been high on my bucket list and as soon as our tour was over, we beelined for the restaurant on the waterfront. We ordered the 3 piece Silver Salmon and Chips and the 1/2 lb Dungeness Crab and sat down to enjoy. Joan took two of the three pieces and the majority of the chips and I had the bulk of the crab and one of the pieces of salmon. The salmon was piping hot; fresh out of the fryer. The fish was cooked to perfection and hella fresh. The platter came with mesquite seasoned fries, tartar sauce and a vinegar based coleslaw. The Dungeness Crab Legs, served with warm drawn butter, were outstanding. The slices of lemon were a nice option for a different flavour profile.

Our tour guide recommended this place—it was good!! You order your food first and pay, then proceed to the dining area inside to find a table. There’s a bar inside as well. It’s a fairly small place. The Fish and Chips were delicious! We tried the AK Sampler which gives you one piece of each fish: Cod, Salmon and Halibut—we all thought the Halibut was the best! The French Fries were okay, and the Smoked Salmon Chowder was really good. Also got the Dungeness Crab which was delicious. They offer pitchers of beer so we also got their IPA draft beer.

The Alaska Fish House is an absolute gem! The seafood was incredibly fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere had that perfect Alaskan charm. I highly recommend the halibut and chips — crispy, tender, and unforgettable. A must-visit spot if you’re in Ketchikan!

Stooped in for lunch while on a cruise. Enjoyed the fantastic salmon fish and chips and rice bowl with crispy salmon. I wish I'd tried the smoked salmon chowder, but can't eat it all. Seating is limited, and if many ships in port, expect a wait.
